Type in title of book or the authorÕs name. Books in the 800s will be
literary criticism, for the most part. However, watch out for Cliff Notes Ð you
donÕt want these.
Gale.com:
Click on Free Resources
(left side of screen). Now, click
on
Literary Index (right side of screen). Do a title search and bubble in
ÒMatch words
exactly as enteredÓ Ð be sure to use the article (an, an,
the) at the
beginning of the title. Print out
the list of resources. We
own many of these
Gale references (look them up in the catalog for the call numbers). Again, most should be in the 800s in
REFERENCE.
Student Resource Center Ð Type in the title of the novel. Note the type
of articles
(biographical essay, criticism, critical essay) and choose according to your
needs. Be sure to look at the
magazine and newspaper articles as well.
Choose ÒAll
Database SearchÓ and
select (put a check in the box) the following databases: Academic
Premier, MAS Ultra- School
Edition, MasterFile
Premier, and Newspaper Source,
then click ÒContinueÓ.
Now, click on Advanced
Search, and type in the
title of the book in quotes on the first search line. Type ÒcriticismÓ on the second line and hit SEARCH.
Again, you want to
print articles that are in HTML or PDF Full-Text.
